Puppy Training Advice
A puppy can be a wonderful addition to the family. It can also be a rambunctious addition to the family. Taking time to housebreak, nipping, chewing, jumping, and separation anxiety are all very common, very normal puppy problems. However, just because an undesirable behavior is normal doesn’t mean it should be ignored. Training your puppy now can make the transition smoother and can also save you time and money in the future.
My in-home puppy training program is designed specifically for puppies ages sixteen weeks and younger, to both address common puppy problems such as the ones listed above and to ensure that you and your puppy bond in a healthy and successful way. This simply means that I aim to help you create a foundation of trust and respect between the two of you from the very beginning. Without trust and respect, your dog will continue to do what he or she wants instead of focusing on you as the leader. Of course, this foundation can be developed at any age, but it’s much quicker and easier when the dog is young and still developing mentally and physically.
This program will also provide you with valuable tools you can use for the rest of your dog owning life. I don’t just come in and provide a quick fix; I make sure you’re involved and learning the exact same techniques I’ve perfected as a professional. You can use these techniques in the future, if your dog or any future dog begins adopting bad habits. If for some reason you run into a problem with your new puppy that you feel you haven’t been equipped to handle, you’ll receive a discount on the adult in-home training program for any dog that has completed the puppy training program.
I am a dog trainer, but first and foremost I am a dog lover. My goal is to see dogs and their owners live in harmony. To learn more about the puppy training program or the in-home training program for adult dogs, give me a call at 800.649.7297.
